Since its founding in 1945 by Giovanni Simoni, Cantine Monfort, a traditional family-run winery based in Lavis near Trento, boasts nearly 70 years of winemaking heritage. In 1971, Sandro Fay revitalized his family's small vineyard in San Giacomo di Teglio, Valtellina Superiore DOCG, choosing varied soils and altitudes between 350m and 900m on steep slopes.
